Ex Tenebris is TTRPG about gothic space investigations. Players will get into the roles of a ragtag team of investigators, protecting the Republic of Stars from terrifying supernatural threats from beyond time and space. Facing sorcerers and cults, dark technology from civilizations lost to the eons, and the ever lurking terrors that inhabit the nightmare realm of the Tenebrium.
The Republic of Stars itself is a young and fragile alliance of planets home to countless of people from all sets of human and alien life. The Cathedral-like ships connecting the Republic's planets via the Tenebrium while protecting it and the Republic from enemies that wish to besiege it.
The players themselves are Guardians of Moira; a forgotten but important government agency entrusted to protect the people of the Republic from threats that other authorities are not aware off. In a mystery, it is just as likely to deal with political and inter-governmental conflict as much as terrors from beyond time and space.
For this one-shot, we will be playing the "Too Greedily And Too Deep" scenario from the quickstart.
On the distant planet of Morovan, a frontier world on the edge of Karn space, something lurks in the dark. The House Diamantus mining operation here has rapidly grown, expanding deeper and deeper into the rock in its quest for mineral wealth. A series of accidents is being quietly covered up by the House officials - but the true source of the problems is far more dangerous and horrific than they have realized.
No prior experience is required. Rules will be taught during play. A character keeper and an online dice roller will also be available.
Players will receive an email a week before the one-shot takes place to confirm attendance and acquire play materials.
SAFETY: This game will be held under the Open Hearth Community Code of Conduct and use the Open Door policy, X-Card, and Lines & Veils.
DURATION: Up to 4 hours with a 5-10 minute break approximately every hour.
PLATFORM: We will be using Discord & Google Sheets.
RECORDING: I will be recording the one-shot to potentially send to the designers so that they may make any adjustments based on how the game plays at a table.

"No, Harry. You were just talking to yourself. That's all you ever do. Even in your dreams. And the act is wearing thin, the spots of the disco ball fade around you..."
After the Mind, the World Again is "A Disco Elysium-inspired murder mystery TTRPG about a detective and the voices in his head". A neo-noire story with a pestering internal monologue, where solving the mystery sends you on a path to explore regret, wrong choices, and failures old and new.
What to expect: a game where we create the mystery and the solution on the fly, for one player and four GMs. A introspective noire story exploring more than investigation work.
This is a one shot, we'll start and finish the story on the same night.
Touchstones: Disco Elysium, Inherent Vice, Twin Peaks, Blade Runner.
Content warning: crime, violence, death, lies, depression, addiction.
We will play with the X-card, lines and veils, and open door policy, to keep things inclusive and safe for everyone, as usual.

Gotham City. Word on the street is that the Bat is off-world with the Justice League fighting off an alien invasion or soimething. And that means that the Gotham Museum of Natural History is ripe for the plundering! A band of villains from Batman's "Rogue's Gallery" have assembled to pull off the perfect heist while the Caped Crusader is off punching Darkseid or whatever. "We'll all get rich! What could possibly go wrong?"
Batman: The Final Rogue is a genre drift of the classic slasher movie story-game The Final Girl by Bret Gillian. We will create a cast of villains that can be used in scenes by any player, and play to find out how Batman captures them and hauls them off to Blackstone Prison or Arkham Asylum... except for the Final Rogue who gets away! Plus: Everyone gets a turn playing Batman!!
System: The Final Girl by Bret Gillian. The rules are identical to the base game, except that the "Victims" are now "Villains," and the "Killer" is now Batman himself!
Technology: We will be using the facilitator's Zoom for video chat, a shared Google Sheet as a character keeper, and a multiplayer card table at playingcards.io.
Recording: With the consent of the players, we will record this session. The GM will make the recording available to players for review, and with their consent, will post the video (or audio only if preferred) for public viewing.

In R'lyehwatch, the player characters are all professional lifeguards who protect the beaches of the southern California seaside community of Sunset Hills. While these lifeguards do rescue swimmers who get into trouble with rip currents and rogue waves, they also tangle with the cultists, sea monsters, and weird paranormal events that also seem to plague the town. The game mashes up the campy melodrama of Baywatch with cosmic horror stories like The Call of Cthulhu.
System: This is a rules-light game that uses the Tricube Tales system. No experience is necessary, and what rules there are will be taught at the table.

Dear Magister Reynolds,
We have done it! Through Mistress Wentworth's divinations via Tarot and talking-board, the Hermetic Order of the Crescent Moon has contacted a spirit of great power! The entity says its name is "Khulshedra" and that it was once a High Priestess on the lost continent of Lemuria six thousand years ago! We have entreated this spirit to share its wisdom with us, and it has agreed. In exchange, it has provided us with a ritual of summoning that can call its avatar into the world, through which it promises to teach us ancient occult wisdom. But the timetable for this ritual is short: It must be performed under the star Algol as it rises on the eve of Samhain under a new moon... which your almanac will tell you is in but nine days. It will be 27 years before that astronomical event recurs. Furthermore, this ritual can only be performed on solid ground where the sea is no farther than a pistol shot in any direction. It is fortuitous that our cabal is where it is: the Isles of Shoals are a mere hour's sail east of Portsmouth Harbor. I have taken the liberty to rent out the seasonal hotel "The Mid-Ocean House" on Smuttynose Island that night. I sincerely hope that you can join us for this momentous event: Not even Aleister Crowley himself could imagine the hermetic secrets that Khulshedra shall bestow upon us!
I remain, dear Sir, your obedient servant,
Dr. Arthur Tillinghast, Magus Esq.
Trophy Dark is a collaborative supernatural horror RPG. Characters will likely not survive this experience, and those who do will be forever marked. For this is not the beginning of these characters' stories... it's the end.
Isle of Water and Blood is an as-yet unpublished incursion written by the GM. The setting is the northern New England coast in the early 20th century. In this story, the PCs are dilettante occultists who travel to a tiny barren island in the North Atlantic to perform a ritual to summon an entity from Beyond.
System: Trophy Dark is the original "Rooted in Trophy" game. All rules will be taught at the table.
Technology: We will be using the facilitator's Zoom for video chat, a shared Google Sheet as a character keeper, and an online dice roller. Players may choose to roll physical dice if they prefer.
Recording: With the consent of the players, we will record this session. The GM will make the recording available to players for review, and with their consent, will post the video (or audio only if preferred) for public viewing.

INTRO
Overview
With a new headmaster in charge and La Ladrona Infinita still prowling, the fate of La Casa del Atomo remains uncertain...
La Academia de Yaguez is special. A school devoted to helping "las alteradas," people with special powers and requirements. A home for these unique individuals, where they share what they have learned and band together to make a difference. And a place of rivalry, rage, and romance.
This perfect manor, with its elegantly laid out gardens and fountain, its beautiful facade, and its picturesque nearby forest, holds secrets and conflicts galore within its walls. Hidden passages reveal new chambers— perfect for trysts or for experiments, alike.
A simple gymnasium becomes a training chamber for a team of battle-hardened heroes... and a great way to vent frustrations. The faculty members of this Academia are their own greatest allies, and their own bitterest enemies.
It is among this place of science, of power, of beauty, and of simmering tension that our story unfolds, the secrets kept by the building itself standing as nothing against the secrets within the burning hearts of these heroes.
The Show
Now 70 episodes into its run, La Casa del Átomo has been beloved for focusing on a superhero drama in all the right ways—fewer mind- numbing clashes, more kissing. Over the years, the show wove a complex mythology, to the point that almost no viewer is entirely clear on what is going on. The rivalry between Doctor Carlos Yaguez and his old foe (and perhaps...more?) Enrique Leonforte has been the beating heart of the show—but now, everyone believes Doctor Yaguez is dead, killed at the hands of a figure only known as La Ladrona Infinita! In his absence, Enrique Leonforte has taken up stewardship of the school, much to the chagrin and mistrust of Yaguez's faculty! And last episode, we still saw the armored gauntlet of La Ladrona Infinita gripping one of the mansion's balustrades...

Tone: The tone can range from more serious to semi-serious; avoiding slapstick. Romance is possible.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
“It’s the Jedi! Blast ’em!”
“Roger, roger.”
When the Separatists invaded Epluma, the parents of 8-year-old Malza Kerpatto took him with them on the evacuation shuttle…except they didn’t. Instead, Malza unwittingly used his Force powers to deceive them and hide in their castle-like home.
When the Republic’s Jedi and Clone Army landed to take the planet back, the Separatists’ Battle Droids couldn’t withstand them. The remaining assortment of droids has fled…to that same castle…
What will the battle droids do when it comes time to protect the child?
This is a weekly West Marches-style campaign of Protect the Child (https://mint-rabbit.itch.io/protect-the-child-playtest), a game about monsters caring for a young human — but here, the setting involves Battle Droids protecting a young Force-capable alien child in the Star Wars universe.
Familiarity with the prequel Star Wars movies or the Clone Wars TV shows is highly preferred. Tone will be similar to those properties — action, violence, some comedy, and some intense emotions.
Pregens will be provided, no knowledge of the game required.
Each session will be a standalone episode/story, but they will be strung together in a larger narrative. Feel free to switch up your pregen in different sessions! You’ll get more out of it if you can commit to more than one session, but it’s not required.
The Community Code of Conduct will be in force. We will use Lines & Veils and X-Card.
Alien Dark is my own game (free from https://gallusgames.itch.io/) for rules lite play in the Alien (or similar Alien horror) Universe. It's inspired by Cthulhu Dark (by Graham Walmsley) and The Alien RPG (by Free League Publishing). I'm scaffolding this session with material based on Free League's 'Destroyer of Worlds' module.
PCs are members of a Colonial Marine squad (with the option of a civilain 'consultant') who have been hurriedly recalled from a routine circuit of oil installations. The Ariarcus colony is under attack from the Union of Progressive Peoples (UPP) and the squad have received orders to 'return for immediate evac'. UPP jamming has restricted comms over the last few hours and the weather has deteriorated to blizzard conditions.
They neeed to make it back to Fort Nebraska for evac!
We'll create the squad and identify its NPC members then begin play in media res as the squad's APC reachs the northern edge of the colony. Then we'll play to find out how, or if, they make it and what happens when they discover there may be more to worry about then UPP troopers!
We, the players, may know lots, but the characters know nothing ... until they do ...
We'll be playing with Lines, Veils, the X-Card and an Open Door, and within the Community Code of Conduct.
THIS SESSION WILL BE RECORDED AND PUBLISHED to publicise the game. Please keep that in mind before RSVP-ing
This is a one-shot of my recently published PbtA game 'The Cluster'.
It's a game in which players take the role of a rag-tag Crew who are just keeping their heads above water as the economic tides of the eponymous Cluster of seven systems, each many light-years from the others, but connected by Ring Gates, threaten to swamp them and the cramped and reconditioned ship they use to make a living. A touchstone might be 'The Expanse' for gritty 'real-physics' tech and found family Crew. Star Trek and Star Wars this is definatively not ...
As this is a one-shot we'll be playing in a pre-generated Cluster of systems, the details of which are here: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wlRvk9o--PlSjYqMDq0XaCIWACv1rPFD/view?usp=drive_link).
Each player will choose one of the available Societies: Harsh, Spacer, Dedicated, Authoritarian, Poor, Sequestered, and that will define the system where they were brought up. They will then choose two Career Playbooks from among Daredevil, Engineer, Fixer, Grifter, Hustler, Investigator, Scientist, Scoundrel, Soldier & Tactician, to reflect what they did between leaving home and joining the Crew.
We'll agree which system you start play in and the job you are currently engaged in and then ... play to find out ...
We'll be using Lines, Veils, the X-Card and an Open Door, and play within the Community Code of Conduct.

The Story
Lily Hunter has been kicked out of her home by her conservative Christian parents right after coming out as trans, and right before learning that she's a shapeshifter.
You are a group of monsters that visit the local arcade regularly, and Lily has run here to ask for help. The police are on the look for the creature she turned into when she nearly caused a car accident, so now you're sneaking out the back of the arcade, trying not to get caught by anyone looking for trouble.
Will you get this kid out of town before shit hits the fan?

Harriette Wilson was one of the most celebrated courtesans of the Regency era. When she reached her late thirties, she could no longer find men to lavish upon her the lifestyle she desired. So she developed an alternative business plan. She wrote and published a scandalous memoir revealing all the details of her intimacies.
In The Fictional Memoirs of Harriette Wilson & Her Sisters we play as the Wilson Sisters, writing a memoir together. We will explore our relationship, while also recalling racy gossips and blackmailing our former upper class lovers.
What to expect: a gm-less, diceless story telling game in which you play one of the sisters and some of their former lovers. You'll explore their relationship through plenty of juicy gossiping, but also emotional bitter sweet moments about "about sisterhood, the passage of time, and the complexities of the human heart."
Touchstones: the actual memoirs of Harriette Wilson & Her Sisters, Jane Austen's novels.
Content warning: romance, implied sexual relationships, gossiping, blackmailing, terminal illness, social stratification, Regency era England.
We will play with the X-card, lines and veils, and open door policy, to keep things inclusive and safe for everyone, as usual.
Eotenweard is my Pbta game-in-apparently-endless-development of Dark Age Heroes protecting the innocent from the Darkness that increasingly pervades the Land.
Guy Milner & SabineV will be pre-seated for this session.
This session will be recorded and permission sought to publish in support of the Community's profile.
This is intended to be a gritty, low fantasy, 'historical', game set in version of Northumbria and its surrounding kingdoms during the latter half of the 6th Century: 200 years after the departure of Rome, and 200 years before the 'Age of Vikings'. The BBC's ‘Last Kingdom’ and Prime's ‘Vikings’, provide reasonable touchstones for the look and feel of the setting, as does Bernad Cornwell's 'Warlord Chronicles' trilogy.
The players will take the roles of heroes identified by their god(s) and other supernatueral patrons as 'Guardians against the Darkness'.
We will begin by creating characters and the Settlement to which they have been drawn by their patrons. Then we'll play to find out what form the Darkness that looms over the settlement takes and how it may be destroyed.
We'll be using Lines, Veils, the X-Card and an Open Door, and play within the Community Code of Conduct.
<t:1759366800:F>
You are a spaceborne hero sworn to undertake perilous quests. You will explore uncharted space, unravel the secrets of a mysterious galaxy, and build bonds with those you meet on your travels. Most importantly, you will swear iron vows and see them fulfilled—no matter the cost.
Concept: We're playing co-op Starforged! PbtA sci-fi adventure. We'll use the game's Truths exercise to figure out our particular setting elements. Two players are pre-seated by request.
Aim: Weekly 2-hour (ish) sessions, at least through October. After that we'll evaluate whether to continue. The first session will be setting creation and getting started on characters. I'll be facilitating and playing a character, and everyone GMs collaboratively. No experience necessary, although we don't have a lot of time in each session so familiarity with PbtA concepts like stats and moves would be helpful. A rules summary is available free here: https://tomkinpress.com/products/ironsworn-starforged-rules-summary
You can join in the middle, but I'll work with you to make a character before your first session to save time.
Tone: TBD! The game is fairly "soft" sci-fi in general so we can do what we want. It's not a brutal game in terms of challenge so we'll succeed more than we fail.
Safety/content: We'll have the Open Hearth Code of Conduct in effect. We'll set up Lines & Veils at the top and use the X-card throughout, as well as the Open Door policy.
You've sailed aboard the Fang, sailors all, following Captain Strangford to the far North, on a mission to Hell. But now, you lie frozen in ice - you'll wait it out until Spring, hoarding your meagre rations and trying to survive. But strange things are happening on the ice.

By Endurance We Conquer is a short-form Carved from Brindlewood game of survival horror, polar exploration, and terror at the edge of the world. We'll create our characters together as you face isolation, frostbite, obsession, and the costs of hubris.
Like all CfB games, there's not a set solution to the mystery you face - nor is there any guarantee of survival for any or all of you. Set sail on the Fang, and join us! This is designed for two 3-hr sessions.
X-Card, Open Table, Lines and Veils. Breaks around the hour mark. We'll use Zoom and a character keeper, and either a basic dice roller or roll our own dice. Wrap up warm!
<t:1759590000:f>
What's the game you've wanted to get to the table but haven't been able to? What's the campaign premise you've considered but don't know how to make it work? What's the rpg that just couldn't actually function if you tried to run it online? What's the wild concept that you know would crash-out but it amuses you just the same?
This will be a chat/discussion group about all of this and more. Host Lowell Francis will bring his own selection of "White Whales" but more importantly you should bring your brilliant failures and sky-high concepts. We will be opening up the discussion to the table.
This will be recorded for future posting, but folks are welcome to come and lurk with camera and/or microphone off. This talk will follow the Open Hearth Code of Conduct.
“On Orn the pauper dreams of a liquid, black as starless night. The power of gods, distilled into midnight ink.”
The Electrum Archive is a science-fantasy TTRPG inspired by the worlds of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Dark Sun, Caves of Qud, and Ultraviolet Grasslands. It uses simple core rules to quickly get you started playing without prior knowledge.
The game is set on the world of Orn, a place long ago abandoned by an alien race now known as the Elders. The magical ink left behind in the shipwrecks of these ancient aliens is now used as currency and inhaled by warlocks as fuel for their spell casting. Adventurers called inkseekers venture out into the decaying world beyond the cities ruled over by scheming Merchant Houses to look for Elder artifacts and ink.
We will be running a one-shot inside the great city of Titan port. No prior knowledge is required, everyone is welcome to join!

Building on the Dice Drabbles experiement by Dom, this is a series of short one-hour sessions of Stewpot; with no requirement to make every session we'll play retired adventurers in our tavern every week.
I imagine that, with an hour we will have the opportunity to play one or two mini-games each session - choice of which to ensure that every player gets involved every session.
(note, there's be no session on the 28th October)
The adventurer’s life is tough. It’s time to call it quits. For years you stumbled through hostile lands, living off stale rations, and struggling to get a few hours’ sleep. Now it’s time to hang up your weapons, sell off your armor, and settle down. If only it were that easy…
Stewpot: Tales from a Fantasy Tavern by Takuma Okada is a collection of cozy mini-games that tell the story of a tavern run by former adventurers.
Stewpot is divided into a series of slice-of-life scenes, with a different set of simple rules and prompts helping adjudicate each scene. You might be scrambling to cook something edible with random ingredients, bartending for troubled souls, calming down a tavern brawl, going shopping for all the things a tavern needs, and more! Work to upgrade your tavern’s cuisine, atmosphere, and service. In the process, you might just learn a little bit about yourself – and your fellow party members.
You are aspiring knights in a world of kings and wizardry, venturing into the realms of Castony on a quest to prove yourselves worthy and discover the elusive Tower Perilous. What wrongs will you right and lessons will you learn along the way?
In the seaside town of Lyddsham, our questers discover a festival marred by ominous fog and disturbing rumors. Who is the Drowned Knight? And can anything save the townsfolk he has dragged off into the mist?

Thirsty Sword Lesbians is a TTRPG for telling queer stories with friends. Love angsty disaster lesbians with swords? You have come to the right place.
You’ve arrived at the Academy’s annual fencing invitational representing the Union Alliance. Nominally you and athletes from the Imperium Core and the Free Nations are there for a friendly sporting competition.
In reality, this is the latest front in the long-running cold war and your job is to build alliances with the athletes from the Free Nations and prevent them from siding with the Imperium Core.
Will you be able to sway any of the Free Nations fencers to your cause? Or even redeem some from the Imperium Core? You'll have to play to find out...
Note that this is a two-shot; ideally you will be able to attend both sessions.
We'll be using lines & veils, the X-Card, script tools and open table. Expect flirting but note that sex will be (at least) veiled.
Battle Warriors 3000 AD! (yes, the exclamation point was part of the title) is one of the many forgotten cartoon series of the 1980s. It still has its fans, enough that there was a live action movie adaptation in 1997, and the last few years there's been talk of a reboot...
This is a series of three connected games of Writers' Room, my game of creating a tv show or other fictional narrative. It's perfectly fine to sign up for just one session! After all, we're making multiple adaptations spanning 40 years - there's going to be different writing teams for each one.
For this series, we will first create one season of the original cartoon, then the 1997 live action movie adaptation, and finally the first season of the 2025 reboot.
No prior rules knowledge is necessary. (If you want to get the game, it's going to be part of the Palestinian Children's Relief Bundle on itch.io.)
This game is part of the Shared Hearth event run by the Open Hearth community.
We will use a series of safety tools, including Lines & Veils, the X-Card, the Open Door Policy, and the Open Hearth Code of Conduct.
If everyone consents, the sessions will be recorded and shared.

This is a weekly-ish series of one-shots of Swords Without Master, you may sign up for any (or all) individual sessions, but note different days/times. If you can't make these but want to play, contact AaronF and we'll make a session happen.
Come seek high adventure in a world of swords and sorcery! Show us how you paint a vivid fantasy world and achieve mighty feats of wits and brawn! Plunge into glum depths and soar to jovial heights!
Concept: A collaborative fiction-writing system where the challenge comes from describing and creating a short story on the fly. The dice tell you only the tone of narration...until they turn against you with a twist! No experience or familiarity with genre needed. I may bring some seeds of inspiration in the form of titles or images, but the characters and content will be up to the players. Certain elements may carry over to the next tale, but anyone may drop in without previous knowledge.
Aim: We'll tell a complete short story in 4 hours or less. You may bring a previously-created Rogue to each session if you've played before. Otherwise we'll create characters together before starting our tale. We'll play over the Open Hearth Discord with voice, video optional. We'll use a Google Sheet as a character keeper and shared notes.
Tone: Generally light adventure fantasy, although it can range from gritty to philosophical to goofy, depending on what the players bring out. Expect some descriptions of violence and injury (not too gory) in keeping with adventure fantasy.
Safety and content: The Open Hearth Community Code of Conduct is in effect. We'll use Lines and Veils at the top, the X-card throughout, and the Open Door policy.
Art from Worlds Without Master, issue 3
This is a continuation of a previous series; players from that series have been pre-seated.

This is for a quarterly series of Star Trek Adventures, running October through December of 2025. In session one we will set tone and safety, go through the character lifepath steps, figure out connections, and decide on our ship. Rules will be taught, though familiarity with 2d20 will help. Attendance at all sessions is encouraged, but this is flexible (the mission-based nature of the game mean episodes will probably be two sessions in a pair).
We will be playing Modiphius’ new edition of Star Trek Adventures. This show will be a "third season" for the starship Kintsugi, following up from events of the last series.
This takes place in the DS9/Next Generation era, with the Federation in the midst of an intensifying war with the Dominion, Cardassian incursions, and all the old threats on the edges. At the same time the Federation tries to maintain its old responsibilities of exploration, discovery, and diplomacy.
Content Warning: potential violence, potential cultural imperialism. We will use Zoom for our sessions. Sessions will run up to three hours. We will plan to record, but I will confirm this with the players. The Community Code of Conduct will be in play and we will use Lines & Veils and the X-Card for safety tools.
This game will be recorded.
If you sign up and your availability changes, please remember to drop from the site and give me a heads up.

The world of Yazeba's Bed and Breakfast is focused on the captured moments of day to day life of those visiting/residing in the Bed and Breakfast. From the normal everyday to the magical whimsy/shenanigans that the guest bring.
This is a gmless one-shot, however play will take place in an ongoing running of Yazeba's Bed and Breakfast. This will also impact future games with updates to the ledger and Character Journeys as each one-shot builds upon these.
In Yazeba's, we will be picking from a cast of premade characters that have their own backgrounds and ever developing character journeys. We will be playing within the chapter's provided scenario description and mechanics.

Mercury Orbit, 2188
An underfunded and overworked research team aboard the United Mining and Development observation and research facility. Stretched to their limits, so close to a breakthrough they can taste it. A single terrible mishap precipitates the end of the crew, the station, and their precious research. Some may survive, but not without great sacrifice. As Toffet Station breaks apart, the rest find only ruin, delirium, and the burning cold of the void.
In the end, was it all worth it?
Toffet Station is a storytelling game about the inevitable descent of a United Mining and Development observation and research facility orbiting Mercury in 2188, and the regrettably unavoidable fates of its research team. A terrible mishap will mean the end of the crew, the station, and their work.
The project is overtasked and underfunded, stretched to the limits of safety and reason, and so close to a breakthrough they can taste it. Toffet station is a dark, lyrical science fiction game set in the not-too-distant future about people pushing themselves too far.
Toffet Station runs on the Desperation Engine by Bully Pulpit Games.

Twenty years have passed since the Enemy was defeated and its armies vanquished.
Twenty years since a small group of heroes rose from obscurity to become the stuff of legends, turning the tide of battle.
But now there are rumors that the Enemy has returned.
Death of Legends is a GM-less fantasy game that uses simple dice mechanics to allow players to construct a rich backstory for their characters, and then narrate scenes depicting a desperate struggle against a returning foe.
Designed to be played in a single session split into 3 acts. The first 2 acts establish the characters, the bonds between them, and their heroic efforts during the prior conflict. The final act depicts the terrible return of the ancient enemy, and the heroes attempts to defend the Free Territories, while tracking rumors of a great weapon of power, capable of destroying the enemy once and for all.
The rules will be taught during the session.
We will, of course, be playing within the Open hearth Community Code of Conduct.

In the Sentinel Comics RPG, you take on the role of a Silver Age superheroes, joining forces to thwart the schemes of terrible villains in dangerous environments.
It also features one of my favorite guided character creation systems!
In this session, we will put together a team of superheroes from a set of Backgrounds, Power Sources, Archetypes, Personalities, and Principles, all guided by dice rolls and player choices. By the end, you will have a unique silver-age superhero that will be ready to drop into any Sentinel Comics campaign!
We will use the Roll20 character sheet, and a free account will be needed to play along. We will also use Zoom but the session will not be recorded.
We will, of course, be playing within the Open hearth Community Code of Conduct.

In the Sentinel Comics RPG, you take on the role of a Silver Age superheroes, joining forces to thwart the schemes of terrible villains in dangerous environments.
For this session you will take the role of one of the iconic Freedom Five (or their former intern) who are helping to rebuild Megalopolis after one of these apocalyptic battles when a new threat appears.
This session will use pregenerated characters:
Legacy: The All-American - Mighty flying leader of the Freedom Five!
Wraith: The Urban Rogue - Who uses throwing knives, stealth, & gadgets to fight crime!
Tachyon: The Super-Speed Scientist - Who thinks even faster than she sprints!
Absolute Zero: The Frozen Man - Who is kept alive by his power suit and control of the cold!
Bunker: The Huger Power Suit - That changes modes and wields the riot cannon!
Unity: The Former Intern - Of the team who build robot friends with her mind!
Rules will be taught during the session.
The starter kit is made up of 6 "issues" and I expect we can get through the first one in a single session. If there's interest, I can put the others on the calendar later in the year.
I am intended to run the game using the Roll20 character sheet. A free account will be required to play. We will use Zoom, but the session will not be recorded.
We will, of course, be playing within the Open hearth Community Code of Conduct.
Content Warning: The first issue is titled "Itsy Bitsy Spider Bots" and does include (cartoony) robot spiders.

Oh Captain, My Captain! is a short form worldbuilding role-playing game (RPG) that explores heroism and the complicated relationships we have with people we admire. It’s approachable for players who have never tried an RPG before and satisfying for players who have been gaming for years. It’s also compact enough to tell unforgettable stories in just thirty minutes.
The game revolves around players drawing from a deck of cards with open-ended questions. Each question players answer helps them learn about their character, their world, their captain, and the complicated relationship they have with a living legend. Players use these answers to make connections between their stories leading up one of three final questions that end the game. Groups can change their final question based on the tone they desire for their experience.
The open-ended nature of the game allows players to explore any genre or story they can imagine, from a swashbuckling pirate adventure to a space opera with the starship crew, or the adventures of a high school football team or even a team of superheroes! No matter what story you want to tell, Oh Captain, My Captain! helps you create an exciting adventure to entertain your whole game group.
We will, of course, be playing within the Open hearth Community Code of Conduct.
Session will be played over zoom and will not be recorded.
I have a physical copy of the deck and will be drawing cards and presenting questions to the players.
It's September 15th and that means secret chapter time!!

NEW PLAYERS WELCOME
This chapter will be one of the “hidden” or “secret” chapters of Yazeba’s Bed and Breakfast: Heartsword, in which we play an “old school” ttrpg adventure in the world of Gertrude’s favorite fantasy novel.
I am not too familiar with these types of games and it’s very much a purposely half baked chapter kinda so please bear that in mind as there will certainly be moments of uncertainty and instances of handwaving/making up rules as we go.
Yazeba’s Bed and Breakfast is a slice of life game of found family in a fantastic bed and breakfast managing the mundane and magical while exploring their place in the world.
Play will impact/take place within an ongoing instance of Yazeba’s Bed and Breakfast.
In this session we’ll pick pre-made characters (each with their own unique journeys that use legacy mechanics to evolve with play) and play through the scenario described.
We’ll be playing the late chapters mixed with some of the early ones as we try to move toward the “end” and need some resources to get us there! The late Chapters are probably gonna be pretty heavy both in general subject and tone but also just because we’ve been playing these characters for so long it’s gonna be tough saying goodbye (however it is we decide to do that). The Bed and Breakfast is really hummin’ along and as always there’s “room for everyone” so stop on by!
We will play under the Open Hearth Code of Conduct (https://openhearthgaming.com/code-of-conduct ) and will use the open door policy, the X card and lines and veils for safety.
No experience necessary, rules will be taught.
Breaks on the hour.
This game will not be recorded.
We will use streamyard for audio/video and google docs for play materials.
I will email players about a week in advance to confirm attendance.

A one-shot of Swords Without Master.
The title "Cut Fire" and image are just a seed of inspiration - the characters and content will be up to the players.
Aim: We'll tell a complete short story in 4 hours or less. You may bring a previously-created Rogue to this session if you've played before. Otherwise we'll create characters together before starting our tale. We'll play over the Open Hearth Discord with voice, video optional. Lady Blackbird is an Imperial noble fleeing from an arranged marriage to be with her secret lover, the pirate king Uriah Flint. To reunite with him, she has hired a notorious smuggler and the crew of his skyship, The Owl. However, The Owl has been captured by an Imperial cruiser. How will Lady Blackbird and the others escape? What dangers lie in their path on the way to the pirate king’s lair?
Concept: A classic game by John Harper. The game features an evocative steampunk/retro-sci-fi/fantasy setting, with an open-ended starting scenario and preset characters. Mechanically it's a straightforward tag-based dice pool system focused on action and breaks for interpersonal drama. There's also Keys to guide decisions and earn XP for advances. The PDF is free here: https://ladyblackbird.org/
Aim: We'll play one session of 4 hours, and see how far we get. We may not resolve Lady Blackbird's fate, but there will be plenty of dueling, shouting, stealthy escapes, quiet debate, and possibly even romance!
Tone-wise we can decide as we go, but the game lends itself to space operatics in the vein of Star Wars or Firefly. We can play it with goofy hijinks, serious personal moral questions, or with moments of both.
Safety/Content: We'll have the Open Hearth Code of Conduct in effect. We'll set up Lines & Veils at the top and use the X-card throughout.

Welcome to Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast, a slice-of-life tabletop RPG about a heartless witch, a peaceful house, and all the folks who have made their home inside.
It’s spooky season so we’ll play a chapter about trick-or-treating.
You can find the game here: https://possumcreekgames.com/pages/yazebas-bed-breakfast
I won’t record the game. The session will run up to three hours (but we might need less).
The Open Hearth Code of Conduct will be in play. We will use Lines & Veils, the Open Door Policy and the X-Card.
If you sign up and your availability changes, please remember to drop from the site and let me know (e.g. on discord) because playabl won’t update me.

Dice Drabbles is an experimental series that aims to bring TTRPG satisfaction in just 60 minutes. Each standalone session drops you into one—usually—high-stakes, genre-hopping scene where every choice matters instantly. No prep, no continuity, just pure, concentrated adventure: forge bonds, betray allies, and unleash chaos before the clock runs out. One hour. One scene. One slice of a story across a variety of genres, tones, and situations.
For most of the one-shots, Dice Drabbles will be using Laser & Feelings by John Harper, modified to fit into any given scenario.
This series will use a lottery system to decide on players and waitlist order. Players will be notified about the results roughly a week after the one-shot goes up.
Due to the time constraint, only 3 players will get to participate in any given Dice Drabbles scenario.
Scenario - Whisky & Weird Shit: The Debrief
You're exhausted containment guards from the SCP Foundation who find themselves in a sterile break room after securing a nightmarish anomaly. The adrenaline's fading, leaving jangled nerves and the need to talk. Piece together what really happened down there through fragmented, contradictory memories. Was it a tentacle? An object that couldn't exist? A memetic phrase? Did Jenkins really see it smile?
Styles: Composed, Evasive, Resigned, Solemn, Dissociated, Confessional, Trusting
Roles: The Grunt, The Sergeant, The Analyst, The Cynic, The Glue
Attributes: Trauma (Reliving the horror, expressing fear/shock, raw honesty) and Control (Maintaining composure, sticking to the report, suppressing the weird)
Equipment: Bad coffee & cheap whiskey, standard-issue sidearms, encrypted mission logs (glitchy), a bio-containment bag (holds personal effects), a flickering holo-projector
Player Goal: Agree on what actually happened during the mission.
Character Goal: Create your own or choose one:
Make sure the full, horrifying truth gets into the official record.
Protect the reputation (or hide the mistake) of one specific squadmate.
Get yourself declared psychologically unfit for duty (to escape future breaches).
Pin the blame for the weirdest event on an external factor (not the team/entity).
Secure the bizarre artifact/trophy you secretly smuggled out.
No prior experience is required. Rules will be taught during play. A character keeper and an online dice roller will also be available.
Players will receive an email a week after the post goes up to see the results, confirm attendance, and acquire play materials.
SAFETY: This game will be held under the Open Hearth Community Code of Conduct and use the Open Door policy, X-Card, and Lines & Veils.
DURATION: An hour.
PLATFORM: We will be using StreamYard & Google Sheets.

Hail adventurers! Dungeon World 2 is a PBtA game about a group of messy people embarking on dangerous fantasy adventures and growing into a heroic found family.
No experience with the system is needed and new players always welcome. (Note that the system is currently playable but in development.)
Ideally you'll be able to attend all four sessions. If your availability is limited I do also have a 1-shot that might be a better fit: https://app.playabl.io/games/1548/overview
For safety tools we'll be using lines & veils, the X-Card/script tools and open table. Play will likely include genre-typical fantasy violence.
Session will run for three hours with breaks on the hour.
We'll play with character keepers on Google Sheets and voice over Discord.
Session will not be recorded.

Venture by Riley Rethal is a Belonging Outside Belonging game of introspective heroic fantasy. Think Dungeon World, but GM-less gameplay (i.e., we're all in a traditional adventuring party with wizards, fighters, clerics, rogues, etc., but the focus is entirely on how our relationships with each other as well as our understanding of ourselves change as we trek through an adventure.)
Venture gives us magic-filled forests and looming castles, champions in shining armor and vagabonds with dazzling charm, markets of ill-repute and duplicitous authorities, and uncaring gods high above always asking, “What do you do next?”
In Venture, we will play as a group of adventurers traveling through a fantasy world, making their way across the terrain while learning about themselves and each other. They will meet townspeople with storied cultures, criminals with shady agendas, mages with esoteric power, and a strange darkness encroaching on the horizon.
The game will run for four hours with breaks as needed. Since this is a GM-less game, up to five players may play including myself.
Safety tools (X-Card, Lines & Veils) will be used. The Open Hearth Code of Conduct (https://openhearthgaming.com/code-of-conduct) will be observed.
Players will be contacted via email approximately a week prior to the game to confirm their attendance. A Zoom link will be emailed to players 10-15 minutes prior to the game's start time.
A web of invisible threads holds the fate of the world together. Like thin strands of memories carried by the wind, lifted through the air, tangled in the highest branches.
Mythic Bastionland, by Chris McDowall, is a rules-light TTRPG about a dreamlike world of strange knights and weird myths. You’ll play as errant knights travelling through a far away land. Your aim is to seek the Myths, honour the Seers, and protect the Realm. The tone is that of a weird and eerie Matter of Britain tale (touchstones: the novel The Buried Giant and the movie The Green Knight). This session will be structured as a small hex-crawl in which the knights will encounter strange omens, discover the lay of the land, and investigate its myths. Although the openness of the sand-box style that the game provides might very well throw us off in unexpected directions.
The game may include horror, injuries, violence, death, religion. But tone and subject matter will be discussed before play. Rules will be introduced during play, no homework needed.
We'll be playing on Streamyard with a Google Sheet character keeper. Safety tools include Lines and Veils, X-Card, Open Door. The game won't be recorded.

A game about odd people undertaking odd tasks for odd patrons in an odd world.
More accurately, Odd Folk is Maxwell Lander's PbtA-inspired modular system for playing OSR and system agnostic adventures. The system focuses on d4s, compounding successes, failure as an interesting choice, and pick lists. I anticipate a whimsical kind of fun!
I'll find a short adventure module or prep an adventure site for this session, but who knows what odd places this odd little system will take us!
No prior experience is required. Rules will be taught during play.
SUBJECT MATTER: Fantasy violence, whimsy
TOOLS: X-Card, Lines & Veils, Open Door, Script Change
DURATION: One 4-hour session with hourly 5-10 min breaks
RECORDING: Maybe? If so, only with consent
PLATFORM: Zoom, Google Sheets character keeper

We'll be using lines & veils, the X-Card and open table. Expect flirting but note that sex will be (at least) veiled.

High Magic Lowlives is lightweight, flavorful Post-Dungeon Fantasy Tabletop RPG about wizard school dropouts who get into trouble with the Immortal Aristocracy to make coin and build their #brand. Sling spells, pull heists and stream the whole thing to build clout.
The airship Achilles, owned by House Cindermoth of the Immortal Aristocracy, has something on it you really, really want. You and your crew have managed to find your way aboard... but since then absolutely nothing has gone according to plan.
No experience with the system needed & we'll build characters together at the start of session.

This is a 10 session series of Monsterhearts 2 by Avery Adler, beginning on Oct 10th to avoid competing with the Shared Hearth event. Being able to attend every session is ideal, but not required. You should RSVP to each session you wish to attend. No prior experience with the game is necessary. All rules will be taught.
CONCEPT: Monsterhearts 2 is a PbtA game about the messy lives of teenagers who are secretly monsters. It explores the terror and confusion of having a body that is changing without your permission. The monstrosity of these characters is literal: they are vampires, werewolves, witches, and more. But their monstrosity is also allegorical, standing in for experiences of alienation, shame, queerness, and self-destruction.
AIM: Everyone shares the same agenda: make each main character’s life not boring, keep the story feral, say what the rules demand, and say what honesty demands. It’s about exploring relationships and internal strife. While not exactly player-versus-player, it is certainly a game where characters hurt one another, make mistakes, and navigate social fallout.
TONE: Imagine a teen supernatural romance with elements of horror. The tone may move between comedic and serious, but melodrama will always be the constant. Media touchstones include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vampire Diaries, and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Note: We will be playing with only the original Skins.
SUBJECT MATTER: Monsterhearts 2 explores some difficult themes: dysfunctional relationships, teen sexuality, coercive power, trauma, abuse, violence, and queer marginalization.
SESSION LENGTH: 3 hours.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 4 total (one spot is being held for Will S.)
LOTTERY: If more than 3 people sign up, I will run a lottery for the 3 available seats on Sunday August 10th at 5pm Pacific and announce the results via email.
SET-UP : We will use Zoom for our sessions. I’ll email all players about a week before the first session with the necessary links and resources. We will plan to record, but I will confirm this with the players. The Open Hearth Code of Conduct will be in play and we will use Lines and Veils and the X-Card, as well as Script Change for safety tools.

TLDR: Play GI Joe-styled regular-human soldiers from around the world who are recruited to go ham on supervillains and aliens using powers that will eventually kill them.
"It's better to burn out than FADE AWAY!"
This game is HEAVILY inspired by the Valiant Comic H.A.R.D. Corps, in case my photoshopped cover image didn't look familiar.
-----------------------------------
Some Notes on MCU Sundays Characters:
This game will be firmly set in the MCU, taking place after the end of the Secret Invasion Disney+ series
The time is "now" (meaning - it's modern day but in the MCU)
The movies and TV shows have happened (if you haven't seen the TV shows, don't fret. The movie events are the focus, but some players may reference TV shows and we'll bring everyone up to speed).
You can create a completely original character
You can play an existing character from the MCU, as long as they DO NOT have powers
You can play a multiversal version of an MCU or comic book character
You can use comics to inspire your character or history, of course, you can - the MCU does and so can we!
In short, there is canon here. But it gives us a shared sense of setting. We build on it and use it to inspire our stories. It doesn't constrict us.
-----------------------------------
I'm saving a seat for a player.
-----------------------------------
This game continues a new ongoing anthology campaign set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Don't worry if you haven't watched anything more than the Avengers movies and maybe a few others, we're using the MCU as our backdrop to tell a story together.

Your story is about normal people finding heroism under extraordinary pressures. It’s about relationships tested by a crisis, and rediscovering what matters when the world is ending.
Your people need you. Will you join the caravan?
I've pre-seated Mark W. as he expressed a keen interest to play this when I was mulling over the prospect of running it a while back.

Prior experience with the system is not necessary, rules will be taught as we play.

Plunderer! is a rules-light, 2d6-based OSR/NuSR game of my own design, heavily inspired by Dungeon Crawl Classics and FMC Basic. This is my first time playtesting the game (really, any game) and while I have been working on it intermittently for about a year, it's almost certain that there will be some flaws in the design of the game/rulebook. Input on what you like or don't like about the game will be extremely valuable to me throughout the campaign. You can check out the current draft of the rules here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bpI6pE8erfzMVEnarVy6T0DUSMgAnmpmzhhdJ0rp91w/edit?usp=sharing.
The Evils of Illmire is a "mini-mega" hexcrawl adventure module designed to provide dozens of sessions of perilous wilderness exploration and dungeon crawling. It features an evil cult, a doomed town, a dangerous wilderness, and a variety of vile monsters. The zine aims to provide plenty of free-roaming adventure content, but with an over-arching threat that looms over the entire region.
I plan to record the sessions solely for my own reference, but I'm happy to abstain if any players would prefer not to be recorded, so don't let that stop you if you're interested.
While I would prefer to keep at least some players consistent across all sessions, it's totally fine if you can only make certain sessions of the quarterly. Also note that we will not be meeting during the week of the Shared Hearth event. Finally, though I have sessions scheduled for the end of the December, I am happy to end the campaign early if it is difficult for people to play during that time.

Scenario - Graveyard Orbit at Starlight Fill-Up
The weirdest shift at the galaxy's most remote fueling station. A skeleton crew working the graveyard shift at Starlight Fill-Up. Your only customer? An alien with bizarre demands, cryptic warnings, and a malfunctioning ship. At least, that's what you think. It's kinda hard to tell given the customer's broken translation module. Nonetheless, you want that raise then keep the plasma flowing and the customer satisfied.
Styles: Innovative, Curious, Panicked, Cynical, Conversational, Suspicious, Profit-Minded
Roles: The Grease Monkey, The Cashier, The Intern, The Part-Timer, The Manager
Attributes: Procedure (Following protocol, technical fixes, hazard management) and Weirdness (Understanding the bizarre, improvising, rolling with cosmic punches)
Equipment: A leaky fuel hose, an old toolkit, the station's "Customer Service Protocol" datapad (glitchy), a half-eaten donut.
Player Goal: Get through the shift and satisfy the customer without causing an incident.
Character Goal: Create your own or choose one:
Figure out the customer's true purpose/message (beyond fuel).
Rig the pumps to overcharge them without getting caught.
Obtain a bizarre "souvenir" from the customer or their ship.
Strictly follow protocol, even when it clearly won't work.
Prevent anyone else from touching the customer's weird tech.
No prior experience is required. Rules will be taught during play. A character keeper and an online dice roller will also be available.
Players will receive an email a week after the post goes up to see the results, confirm attendance, and acquire play materials.

GAME: A Throne of Hollow Feathers
INTRO/PREMISE: “If the Gods will not keep to their oath,” roared the King of Otwan, “then we need not keep to ours! Bring me back my daughter!” You’ve been tasked to retrieve a princess given up for sacrifice to appease the gods…and if you find any treasure along the way, so be it.

NOBODY KNEW WHEN IT STARTED, OR WHY. PERHAPS THE LONELY DEATH OF A SPINSTER WAS ONE TOO MUCH FOR ANGELS TO BEAR, OR A CHEMICAL LEAK I N THE GROUNDWATER HAD UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES. ONLY ONE THING IS CERTAIN: NOW THE DEAD WALK.
This story game is about the zombie apocalypse and the desperate choices of the survivors. Not only do these characters scramble over each other, trying to find safety, but they may also cooperate and even sacrifice themselves so at least a few might survive to tell the story.
This is Eero Tuovinen's classic story game Zombie Cinema in which, like it says, we play through a zombie movie! It's GMless, and should handle up to six players (including the facilitator) nicely in three hours or so.
We will be playing under the Open Hearth Code of Conduct, and using Lines & Veils, X-card/Script Change, and Open Door. Session will be recorded and posted to youtube only if all participants agree.

WE SERVE AND PROTECT by Kenneth Hite. A long hot summer of protests rocks the streets of Chicago in the 1970s, and you rock with them. Until the cops pen you in, snatch you up, and take you to the precinct house, where worse things than rubber hoses wait in the basement. The Chicago Police Department serves and protects… but what inhuman entity do the cops who have you serve? What dark secrets do they protect?
About the Game
Lovecraftesque is a GM-less storytelling game of creeping, existential horror. Together, players explore a slow-building mystery through the eyes of a single protagonist, taking turns shaping scenes and contributing details.
Roles rotate each scene:
Narrator – Describes the setting and introduces mysterious clues.
Witness – Portrays the protagonist and reacts to events.
Whisperers – Offer ideas, imagery, and suggestions, and may look things up to enrich the story.
This is a game of cosmic horror that builds atmosphere, not body counts. The fear here is subtle, creeping, and inevitable.
Important Notes
This is not a Lovecraft pastiche.
While inspired by cosmic horror, Lovecraftesque rejects the racism, ableism, and xenophobia of H.P. Lovecraft’s fiction. Instead, it focuses on human vulnerability in the face of the unknowable. For more on this approach:

Concept
You are technicians aboard the Adamant Lapis, a cargo hauler running routine sample pickups. Something alien and unstoppable is aboard, and its presence will slowly tear the ship apart. This is a one-shot survival horror story of escalating disaster in deep space.
Aim
We are here to experience a tense survival scenario together. There is no “winning” in the traditional sense — survival is uncertain, and everyone might die. The aim is to explore how ordinary people face extraordinary horror, to struggle against overwhelming odds, and to see what moments of bravery or despair emerge.
Tone
Bleak, claustrophobic, and tense. The story is serious, not comedic or gonzo. Expect dread and desperation punctuated by moments of frantic action. Think Alien or Event Horizon rather than Starship Troopers.
Subject Matter
We will be dealing with body horror, gore, suffocation, infection, paranoia, radiation hazards, confinement, and inevitable loss of safety. Themes of helplessness and isolation are central. These are not meant to shock gratuitously, but to create tension and horror. We’ll use safety tools (Lines & Veils, Open Door, X-card equivalents) to ensure that content is handled respectfully and that everyone feels safe at the table.
This game may be recorded (with everyone's explicit consent).

“The extent of misery, ignorance and vice amidst all the wealth and great knowledge of the ‘first city of the world’ is, to say the least, a national disgrace to us all.” - Henry Mayhew, 1851.
London, January 1862. Queen Victoria weeps. Prince Albert is dead. The streets are slick with gin, mud, and blood. But in the alleys, crypts, and grand halls of the city, the undead stir. You are one of them. A cursed revenant—or perhaps something worse.
Play as one of the Dead in this decadent, decaying London at the cusp of nightlife and modernity. Will you haunt the Hollow of Highgate, brawl in the Bucket of Blood, or charm a noble in Parliament’s back benches?
You’ll scheme, fight, indulge your passions, and navigate a city bursting with secrets, sorrow, and undead politics.
This game may be recorded (subject to everybody's consent at the table).
We will use a layered set of safety tools.

The sun is dying and the wreckage of countless eons litters the parched wastes of Vaarn, the desolate country that common folk call the blue ruin. It is said that these sky-coloured sands hide the graves of the Autarchs; have swallowed the buried arcologies in which the true seed of humankind was preserved through the Great Collapse; conceal forgotten crypts of memory, decaying crystalline lattices of ancient ego-engines upon which the dusk-blue dunes encroach without pity. From the New Hegemony to the south come drifters and dreamers, desecraters of the tech-tombs that lie sunken beneath the azure wastes. Light-years overhead, aurum-hulled craft ply their tender routes between the spheres, and miles below a pilgrim’s feet, strange wombs are kindled once more with life undreamed of.
These are the hinterlands, where humanity’s great works have fallen to everlasting decay, where machine and animal and fungus think to crown themselves our equal. The phthalo-sands, where newbeasts hunt proudly with boots upon their hind paws and chromepriests chant unending binary devotions to their nameless synthetic god. Only the desperate or the mad would seek to make a life here, to roam the blue desert in search of the secret VAULTS OF VAARN.
Vaults of Vaarn is a science-fiction game set in a far-flung future when the Earth has dried up and the sun has begun to die. Players take on the roles of inhuman and post-human explorers braving the dangerous and chaotic wilderness between trading posts and settlements, and delving into forgotten ruins left by past civilizations. Touchstones for this campaign include Dune, the Ultraviolet Grasslands, the film Delicatessen, and the works of Moebius.
You can check out Vaults of Vaarn for free here: https://vaarn.github.io/#/what-is-vaarn.
We will be playing with safety tools.

Cuck Tent Game by EG Bower is a GMless game about being stuck in a tent with two other people who should not be sharing a tent. One of you is a werewolf, one of you is a vampire, and one of you is human. We’ll choose and play through a series of simple minigames that tell the story of the night’s events.
We’ll use safety tools including lines and veils, the X card and the open door and the game will run under the Open Hearth Code of Conduct. The game is not very explicit but given the theme and setting, you should be comfortable with some level of sexual themes and tensions between the characters.
We’ll play over Streamyard with short breaks on the hour, and the session will not be recorded. I’ll email you a week before the session to confirm availability, so please look out for the email and check your spam folder if it hasn’t arrived.

NOVA is a rules-lite tabletop RPG in a world where the sun exploded, and humanity struggles to hold onto what little light they have left. The players will pilot exosuits, called Sparks, exploring the dark ruins of old earth, searching for the technology and knowledge that may just bring on a new dawn.
NOVA uses the LUMEN system, which is designed for action-packed combat, equipping the players with a set of powers that bring the power fantasy feelings of looter shooters to the tabletop.
Players will each choose a Spark to pilot, specialized exosuits designed to explore the dangers of the Dusk. Each exosuit was designed by humanity to serve a particular function, and the LUMEN system equips the players with a set of powers and abilities that allow them to excel while on their dangerous missions.
Na ja, Jurassic Park/World
Undying is a diceless tabletop roleplaying game about vampirism. Game play revolves around brief periods of intense conflict in which old rivalries and new slights spark a dramatic inferno and long stretches of intrigue in which intricate plots are set in motion by immortal conspirators.
Each player takes on the role of a vampire who stalks human prey in the night. Blood is your all-consuming passion, the object of your deepest desires and most primal needs. Your free will—your very self-determination—is a thin façade, a skin-deep veneer of civility gilding the parasite you truly are. Can you retain your humanity in the face of such desires?

There are rumors in Spire, heard loudest in Derelictus, but whispered in the city above. When the Vermissian train system was built, they dug deep and fast into the Heart. They used tools and powers that haven't been seen before or since. And when it failed, they just left them there.
This is a 12 sessions of Rowan Rook & Deckard's Heart: The City Beneath using Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan's campaign Dagger in the Heart on Wednesday nights at <t:1756944000:t> (8 PM US Eastern time) in September, October and November. (NB: There will be no session on 10/1.) You are delvers, seeking the secrets of the Heart, the vast and weird underworld beneath the city of Spire. You, in particular, are seeking secrets left behind in the building of the Vermissian, the failed attempt to build a train system through the city and down into the Underworld. Maybe because you want the power, maybe because you are seeking truth. Maybe you loved somebody who died for the lost cause of building those damned trains. But whatever it is, you know it's down there, somewhere.

Star Fleet is about exploration and discovery, hence the five-year missions of the Constitution class starships. But someone has to be there to keep everything running. That’s where you come in. Your crewmembers on the USS Tempest, a vessel dedicated to emergency repairs, colony rescue, medical emergencies, troubleshooting, and beyond. You fix what gets broken out there in the great beyond.
And a lot breaks down.
This is for a two-month series of Star Trek Adventures set in the Original/Strange New Worlds era, running September and October of 2025. In session one we will set tone and safety, go through the character lifepath steps, figure out connections, and decide on facets of our station. Rules will be taught, though familiarity with 2d20 will help. Attendance at all sessions is encouraged, but this is flexible (the mission-based nature of the game mean episodes will probably be two sessions in a pair). Rich Rogers is pre-seated.
We will be playing Modiphius’ new edition of Star Trek Adventures. This show takes place during the later part of the Enterprise’s mission (so think Star Trek the Animated series or IDW’s Star Trek Year Five comics. There’s tensions with the Klingons and Romulans, some species haven’t yet been encountered, and the Organians have vanished.

In Mythomorphosis, 1-4 players will explore the relationship between a society’s history and one of its dominant cultural stories as they create and change a myth over the course of generations.
You’ll be telling—and tweaking—this story collaboratively, embodying different characters as necessary if you choose to. There is no Game Master, and no one has more ownership over the story than anyone else.
This is for a one shot of Mythomorphosis: Second Edition by Gordie Murphy, a GM-less mythmaking tabletop roleplaying game about how myths and legends change over generations.

(12 Sundays starting in September, 6:00 pm CET)
Our Mission: Stabilize Reality
The universe was not meant to be observed. Observation creates thought; thought shapes Reality. Where ideas snarl and fester, Anomalies are born: unreal entities whose existence is fundamentally incompatible with our own. As a privately-held corporation acting in the public interest, only we have the flexibility to act decisively to preserve the public from Anomalous intrusion, with high autonomy and minimal regulatory oversight. Become a Field Agent today! Apply your unique skill set to the critical work of shepherding our Reality from forces that would warp it beyond recognition.
In this quarterly (12-session) run of Triangle Agency, you will play agents of a shadowy corporation. Armed with uncanny abilities and the reality-warping support of the Agency, you will locate, identify, and capture (or, worst case, destroy) an extra-dimensional Anomaly, while also diligently suppressing public knowledge of the Anomaly's existence in order to preserve <reality/the bottom line>. Expect audacious maximalism and corporate horror! Touchstones include The SCP Foundation, Severance, Control, and Paranoia.
This quarterly has been scheduled to explore the unlockable Playwall content that is revealed to players during character advancement. I predict that the scheduled run of this game will cover approximately half of a Field Agent's expected career, but we will spend some time negotiating the pace of character advancement in Session 0. I intend to primarily (but not necessarily exclusively) run missions from The Vault first-party supplement for Triangle Agency; Agents who act with foreknowledge of the events of first-party adventure modules may be subject to disciplinary action.
Each session will run 3 hours, with breaks at the top of each hour. No experience necessary! Beginners are welcome and rules will be taught at the table.
Content Warnings: This is, among other things, a horror game. Expect corporate oppression, gaslighting, subjugation of non-human intelligences, and a dash of PvP. Individual missions may have more specific content warnings which we will cover on a case-by-case basis.
Safety tools: This game is operating under the Open Hearth Code of Conduct (https://openhearthgaming.com/code-of-conduct). For safety tools, we will be using the Open Door Policy, The X-Card, and Lines & Veils.
Play tools: Zoom, Google Drive, Excalidraw.
This game will be recorded for private GM review if all players consent, but the recording will not be published.

Now you've been given a chance to scratch. And scratch. Until it bleeds.....

What made the world go sour isn't important anymore. The thing that matters is that one place, far to the west, remains green. The shining city by the sea - object of dreams - destiny made manifest - Las Fuentes.
From across the wastes they come - refugees and seekers, some in search of answers, some in search of cool grass and clear water. Some are drawn here by dreams - of rain, of fruit, of soft curtains billowing. Walls and rifles make no distinctions of these reasons; after all, there's only so much paradise to go around.
At the heart of this city lies a [warp/wound/well] in the world, a place where the veil of reality wears thin. Beyond this curtain lies an orthogonal realm of green life, the secret source of the city’s salvation. Deep within lies the key to yours - as well as your doom.
What will become of you in the HOUSE OF ANGLES?
Heart: The City Beneath is a dungeon-crawling game of horror, discovery, and transformation. Its inspirations include Bloodborne and Darkest Dungeon; As Above, So Below and Pan's Labyrinth; the work of Jorge Luis Borges and Roadside Picnic.
This game will not be as outright brutal and gory, instead focusing on existential and identity-based horror, including deep time and alternate realities.
The House of Angles will also deal with colonialism, the violence of borders, and climate catastrophe. It takes as additional inspiration: Blue Prince and Kentucky Route Zero; Annihilation and Children of Men; The Saint of Bright Doors, House of Leaves, and the Regency literature of Jane Austen and John Keats, et al.
Safety tools will include the X Card, Lines & Veils, and the Open Door. Per the consent of the group, I'll record this game for the community's benefit. Players are encouraged, but not required, to be present for all sessions.
Welcome to The Ultraviolet Grasslands, the roleplaying game of heroes on a strange trip through mythic steppes in search of lost time, broken space, and deep riffs. Half setting, half adventure, and half epic trip; inspired by psychedelic heavy metal, the Dying Earth genre, and classic Oregon Trail games. It leads a group of ‘heroes’ into the depths of a vast and mythic steppe filled with the detritus of time and space and fuzzy riffs.
This Quarterly will run thirteen sessions, and you are welcome to sign up for all of them, but don't feel obligated—I'm curious how UVG works as an open table game, so if a dozen different people sign up, that's great! If you've played with me before, or if you're currently in one or more Open Hearth games, consider waiting 48 hours to sign up to encourage new players. No experience necessary with either UVG or the system!
I'll be trying out UVG's built-in Synthetic Dream Machine system, which seems pretty light and flexible, and using a google docs character keeper that I've built for it. Sessions will be over zoom—I'll be recording, and posting to youtube with everyone's consent.
We will be playing under the Open Hearth Code of Conduct, and using Lines & Veils, X-card/Script Change, and Open Door.
A GMless, two-player (Powered by the Apocalypse) game inspired by the myth of Orpheus & Eurydice.
It is a story of love and loss that has been told many times and in many different ways. To countless generations, the characters of Orpheus and Eurydice represent the distance we are willing to go for love and the reminder that, no matter how devoted we are, love can only carry us so far. If you're a fan of Lore Olympus, Neon Gods and Hadestown, then this is the game for you.
Follow Me Down is divided into eight sections, called Books of the Dead, where the characters journey through different parts of the underworld in search of one another. It is designed to be GMless, with each player portraying two roles during the course of the game. In each Book, one player takes on the role of The Fates (in what would normally be considered the GM role) while the other player portrays a character based on the archetype of Orpheus or Eurydice. The two players trade off, alternating who is playing their character and who is playing The Fates, until they reach The Gauntlet of Hope and Regret to determine how their story ends. There is a final scene between Orpheus and Eurydice, called the Denouement, which reflects upon the journey the characters have taken, and their relationship to one another at the end of the game.
(tl:dr - It's Rapscallion set in Star Wars)
The Imperial Navy has been hot on your trail for weeks. The Pirate Kings of the Free Worlds want your head after you pulled off a heist that... ahem, relieved them of a sizable amount of treasure. You know you should feel worried, but all you see - looking out of the viewscreen of your starship - is the wonders of deep space. You can’t imagine feeling freer.
Your crew might be a strange group—and you can’t say that you trust them completely—but at a moment’s notice, they’re ready to fly through dangerous House territories or scale a Tapani noble’s castle walls. Pirates, through and through. Each of them is ready for anything.
And you’ve got secrets of your own! Perhaps you are an escaped noble, fleeing from the burden of responsibilities. Or maybe a mechanical construct, given life by a cruel master. Either way, it’s fair to say that the night-black void orb you acquired at the last port may have an effect on your health.
No matter. There are adventures to be had and treasure to plunder. Fly on, me ‘earties! Yo ho!

This game is part of the ongoing Star Wars Saturdays series. The time setting is the rise of the New Republic. The setting is the Tapani Sector, which is still struggling with the shackles of Imperial rule. Characters and settings created in this miniseries will exist in the SWS canon for future miniseries and will be added to our wiki (https://starwarssaturdays.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page).

Girl by Moonlight is a game about the tragic struggles and defiant triumphs of a group of magical girls resisting an oppressive society. Exploring the heartbreak of denying who you really are, fighting for what you believe in, and the transcendent power of relationships and community.
Beneath A Rotting Sky is the series playset for this quarterly game. It is about tragedy and betrayal. Most, if not all, of the characters will be complicit in the world's oppression, with little hope of redemption.
The protagonists' own power plays a role in their undoing, and their story ends with an almost inevitable tragic fate.
Though this series is bleak, there is still struggle and triumph and moments of brightness made all the more luminous against the backdrop of a crumbling world.
Play this series if:
You want to explore intense or challenging emotions, or question the optimistic assumptions of magical girl stories.
You want a tragic story about betrayal, hardship, and the struggle for self-definition.
You want to see visceral descriptions of strange and violent creatures, unnatural wildness infiltrating urban spaces, and people living in the ruins of a broken world.
We will also utilize the Threat Roll from Blades in the Dark: Deep Cuts instead of the usual one found in GbM and other FitD games.
No prior experience is required. Rules will be taught during play. A character keeper and an online dice roller will also be available.
Players will receive an email a week before the first session takes place to confirm attendance and acquire play materials.
CONTENT WARNING: Violence, resource scarcity, betrayal
SAFETY: This game will be held under the Open Hearth Community Code of Conduct and use the Open Door policy, X-Card, and Lines & Veils.
DURATION: Up to 3 hours with a 5-10 minute break approximately every hour.
PLATFORM: We will be using StreamYard & Google Sheets.
This is a fulfillment of Shane's game request in our Discord, therefore they are pre-seated.
Starting <t:1752307200:F>
Please allow a 48-hour priority signing window for players from Australia, Aotearoa, the broader Pasifika region and adjacent regions across Southeast Asia until <t:1749376800:F> (June 8, 2025, 12:00 PM UCT+2)
Concept
Apocalypse Keys is a game about monsters, friendship, big feelings and the end of the world. You play a monster of apocalyptic power and deep, destructive urges, trying to be better than their worst instincts and maybe find... friendship? Love? Redemption? Oh, and also avert one or several apocalypses, some maybe of their own making.
Aim
On a character level, you will try to navigate your own complex feelings, desires and relationships, while also holding the apocalypse(s) at bay. The ones within, and the ones without.
On a player level, I would invite you to take the game serious on its own terms: Your characters are messy and they have dark urges. Each playbook is openly in the text associated with forms of self-harm or abuse. Your social bonds are what keeps you from fully giving in to them, but they are not to be ignored. If it gets to heavy, we always have our safety tools.
Your characters are apocalyptic monsters in their own right. I invite you to conceptualize and play them accordingly. Go big, go bold.
The rules text suggests not to double book playbooks, but it explicitly invites you to take moves from other playbooks, so don't get territorial about it.
Tone:
Big, apocalyptic, tragic, tender, loud, vulnerable, queer, anti colonialist.
Subject Matter:
Abuse and self-harm. Messy urges and unhealthy coping mechanisms. Friendship and love. Interpersonal violence.
With all that heavy stuff, of course, we need to be especially careful and caring with one another.
Lines & Veils, Scene Change and the X-Card will be in play.
The Game might be recorded (subject to player comfort level)
This is a lottery sign-up for a UK/Euro-friendly campaign of Band of Blades, the Forged in the Dark military-fantasy campaign game by John Lebouf-Little and Stras Acimovic. It uses the Forged in the Dark system and troupe-style play to tell the story of the Legion, a mercenary unit waging a fighting retreat across a land under siege by undead hordes.
We are planning right now to play on MONDAYS at 7:00 PM GMT (3:00 PM US Eastern) starting in June. The campaign should run about two dozen 3-hour(ish) sessions start-to-finish. You don't need to attend every session, but please make a good-faith commitment to play for the entire run.
Absolutely NO experience with Band of Blades, Forged in the Dark, or any of the inspirational fiction (Glenn Cook's Black Company, the X-Com video games, etc) is required to play, we will teach everything as we play.
CONTENT WARNING: This is an action-horror game about a war against a zombie army. Violence, body horror, civilian casualties, and war-related trauma are all inherent to this game. We will use the full suite of Safety Tools including Lines & Veils, the X-Card, Script Change, and Open Door.
We will play via Zoom, using shared Google Docs and Roll20 ( a free account is fine, but you will need an account).
PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU HAVE PLAYED THIS GAME WITH ME PREVIOUSLY.
We've got 2 slots reserved, and can fill up to 3 more. I'll fill the remaining seats by random drawing on Monday, May 26.

Starbase 66 aka Eschaton Station had been a backwater crossroads for decades. I sat in the dead space between many small and forgotten empires outside Federation Space: Hydran, ISC, Kzinti, Lyran, and beyond. Starbase 66 served as a stopover to other, more important places and flashpoints. That is until the Megastructure appeared: the Tantalus Object. It phased into orbit, causing vast weather changes to the planet below and nearly crashing the station. But Eschaton survived.
Now it has become a flashpoint of its own, as many hunger for the secrets of this suspiciously-dead and battle-scarred construct, seemingly constructed segments by multiple unknown civilizations.
Caught up in the war against the Dominion, the Federation is ill-equipped to deal with this…but they will have to.
This is for a quarterly space-station set series of Star Trek Adventures, running July through September of 2025.
We will be playing Modiphius’ new edition of Star Trek Adventures. This show will be parallel to the recent Star Trek Kintsugi series, but players will be running new characters for the series. While there might be a guest appearance, no knowledge of the last one is necessary.
If you sign up and your availability changes, please remember to drop from the site and give me a heads up

For the first 48 hours please only sign up if you've been in a previous series in our Silent Falls continuity.
Please only sign up if you think you'll be able to make all sessions.
Two Summers is a game of sunny adventures and light drama across two timelines by Côme Martin. We'll be using the supplement Other Summers - which means that our adventures will have less sunshine (as befits Silent Falls).
We won't necessarily have any explicitly supernatural characters (as the rules won't support that), but there may also be a little more magic and menace than usual - even if it's back to dull ordinary life when the summer's over.
If the group is comfortable with it, we'll use the GMless rules - whereby we choose before each session which event will be the focus next time, and it’ll be managed by the player who invented it. It doesn’t make them a GM, mind you, since the rest will be described by everybody!
Here's a brief description of Two Summers itself, notwithstanding the notes above:
In this game, players take the role of characters living an adventure during two different time periods, freely alternating between adolescence and adulthood. These are light adventures, meaning people can get scared and suffer from sentimental pitfalls but any violent or socially heavy situations should be avoided if possible. Finally, this is a game with no supernatural elements, so as to better appreciate the hidden treasures of mundane summers!
You'll like this game if you enjoy light drama, sunny adventures and good-hearted nostalgia! Its diceless system is deliberately very simple: you can explain it in a few minutes and its summary fits on a single page, so as to better put a greater emphasis on storytelling and roleplaying.
ABOUT SILENT FALLS
Silent Falls represents an ongoing continuity here with Open Hearth gaming. Initially we played a game of Alice is Missing with a series of Monsterhearts 2 in the immediate aftermath (set in or around the present day).
The next year, we played A Town Called Malice as a prequel to that (set in the 70s) as the town struggled with efforts to open a new resort to revitalize the town while coping with a mysterious murder.
Last year, we jumped forward to the 90s to play Bump in the Dark, but this is a visit to two different decades (to be decided in play).
To allay any trepidation at entering our continuity, there is no master plan/meta-plot you are missing - and with the extended time lapse between our previous games the possibility of 'messing up' isn't worth worrying about.
Of course if you watch our previous sessions that would be fantastic, but it's hardly required.
