In Mythomorphosis, 1-4 players will explore the relationship between a society’s history and one of its dominant cultural stories as they create and change a myth over the course of generations.
You’ll be telling—and tweaking—this story collaboratively, embodying different characters as necessary if you choose to. There is no Game Master, and no one has more ownership over the story than anyone else.
You’ll create and develop a society together as well as their dominant myth before watching that myth change as a result of major historical events. This is a game about the relationship between what a society experiences and their shifting beliefs and priorities.
Mythomorphosis is a genre-neutral game. You can create societies and stories in any genre, not just myths and legends inspired by real-world ancient mythology. Content inside the book contains ideas for creating modern urban legends, far-future folktales, and space-faring myths.
