            Harvest is a game of folk horror set on a small isolated island somewhere in the British Isles. Our island is a paradise, easy to farm, weather pleasant, seas calm, and will remain that way for generations to come as long as the old traditions are kept.

            Every year, we offer one of our number in sacrifice, so that all can benefit from our island’s bounty. Should we fail to keep the pact, only doom awaits us.

            The night of the sacrifice fast approaches. Soon, the island will name one of us the killer and one of us the sacrifice. We give them both thanks for this duty.

            In Harvest, most of us will take on the role of one of the islanders, tied to one of the many ancient powers of the island. One player may choose instead to take the role of the stranger, an agent from the mainland serving the worldly authority of church and state. All of us will contribute to the fiction, discovering omens of doom and building out our relationships until we reach the climactic final act.

            Will the sacrifice go willingly to their fate?

            Will their killer wield the knife, or will another force their hand?

            Will our community persist, or will the old pacts finally be broken?
