This Ship Is No Mother is a scifi horror game about people in space, working jobs that are probably going to get them killed. Inspired by movies like Alien and games like Mothership and Dread, this is for fans of tension, creepy-crawlies, and tragic one shots. Mechanically, it's a card-based Forged in the Dark game where you race against the deck to save your comrades before everything ends in panic and catastrophe.

Scenario: The 4-person crew of the Wodin (Daggerclass scouting vessel, code:W9Z43, contracted by the Ankara Diversified Fund) are sent out from the Beringer satellite station to respond to a distress signal.Their destination is the moon of planet Arktus5 (classified dead) where a colony ship Glass Eye landed and broke ground 2 years ago. When they arrive, they find only a small group of colonists, living in destitution, who deny sending any signal.When asked about other colonists or the giant crystal pyramid that looms over their colony, they say nothing. Inside they find the rest of the colonists, slowly turning crystalline and joining the Chorus of the Crystal Mind
