About

Gotham City. Word on the street is that the Bat is off-world with the Justice League fighting off an alien invasion or soimething. And that means that the Gotham Museum of Natural History is ripe for the plundering! A band of villains from Batman's "Rogue's Gallery" have assembled to pull off the perfect heist while the Caped Crusader is off punching Darkseid or whatever. "We'll all get rich! What could possibly go wrong?"
Batman: The Final Rogue is a genre drift of the classic slasher movie story-game The Final Girl by Bret Gillian. We will create a cast of villains that can be used in scenes by any player, and play to find out how Batman captures them and hauls them off to Blackstone Prison or Arkham Asylum... except for the Final Rogue who gets away! Plus: Everyone gets a turn playing Batman!!
System: The Final Girl by Bret Gillian. The rules are identical to the base game, except that the "Victims" are now "Villains," and the "Killer" is now Batman himself!
Technology: We will be using the facilitator's Zoom for video chat, a shared Google Sheet as a character keeper, and a multiplayer card table at playingcards.io.
Recording: With the consent of the players, we will record this session. The GM will make the recording available to players for review, and with their consent, will post the video (or audio only if preferred) for public viewing.
Safety Tools: CATS Discussion, Open Door, Lines & Veils, X-Card, and Script Change are all in-play. We will review these tools at the start of the session. The game abides by the Open Hearth Gaming Code of Conduct.
The Final Girl is by Bret Gillian and published by Gas Mask Games. The physical edition is out of print, and the PDF is available for purchase at DriveThruRPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/182628/the-final-girl
Special thanks to Jim Crocker, who first introduced me to this drift of the game!
