    About

Space Opera RPGs This is another in our series of community discussions, open to anyone for future audio posting. <t:1761483600:F>

Lets talk widescreen, big idea sci-fi. Games of space fleets, interstellar empires, sometimes aliens-- big ideas and lasers. Games like Star Trek Adventures, Traveller, Fading Suns, Space Wyrm vs Moonicorn, Dune, Coriolis, Scum & Villainy, Ashen Stars, Star Wars, Last Fleet, and the like. Topics may include:

    • Games Which Manage Space Opera Well

    • Generational Play

    • Space Combat

    • Making the Alien Weird

    • Mapping, Travel, and Playing with Distance

    • Making Characters Not Feel Small in a Big Universe

    • Colonialism and Empires

    • Collaborative Building

Lowell, of course, has some ideas, and he’ll be leading this discussion group– relying mostly on the participation of folks who join us and desperately filling dead air in between points. Discussion will be open to everyone. We want your input– bring your questions, suggestions, ideas and best practices!

This will be recorded for future posting, but folks are welcome to come and lurk with camera and/or microphone off. This talk will follow the Open Hearth Code of Conduct.
