You found an Atlantean artifact—a large, ruby amulet with an unrecognizable face carved into it, smoothed out over aeons. It was beguiling. It seemed to promise a way out. Then an influential temple acolyte showed up, backed by a platoon of guards, and confiscated it.

Now it’s in the clutches of someone high up—a temple adept or city elder, you’re not sure. But you’ve heard that it’s upsetting the City’s usual balance of power. Can you retrieve your amulet and find your fortune?

Defy the Gods is a queer sword & sorcery adventure-romance set in fantasy ancient Mesopotamia. Fight jealous gods and cruel authorities for the right to love and exist. It's also Kickstarting on June 10th! Get a preview in this one-shot. We'll make characters, build a dramatic pantheon and a vibrant city, then dive into the game. Drive it like a stolen chariot.

We'll meet on Zoom. I’ll email everyone about a week before with the links. The session likely run three to four hours. With everyone's permission, I'll record it. The Open Hearth Code of Conduct will be in effect, and we'll use a Red/Yellow/Green palette and the X-Card for safety tools.
