Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to Yazeba's Bed and Breakfast! A slice-of-life tabletop RPG about a heartless witch, an ever-changing house, and all the folks who have made their home inside. You can play as one of the wondrous long-term residents or quirky guests. An adventure might take us through heaps of laundry or on an expedition into the basement, who knows what might happen when we organise a surprise birthday party or go fishing, help is always needed in the kitchen for a breakfast feast, and then there's that time the witch's shadow went missing...

There is room for everyone in this beginner friendly, rules light, narrative driven game: no need to bring, prep or know anything about RPGs. As concierge of the B&B I will bring all the necessary materials and introduce you to the mysteries of Yazeba's home. Together we will decide what adventure to play and what characters will be in it.

There's an open-door policy and we will use the X-card and Lines & Veils tools to keep things inclusive, safe and fun for everyone.

Each game of Yazeba’s is essentially a one-shot, a standalone chapter. There is a kind of legacy element to the game that adds extra flavor, as you can pick a character that comes with the notes and scribbles of those who have played that character before you. You can also choose to ignore those materials and start with a character all fresh and new. As you play, you also get the opportunity to help out with the housekeeping of the B&B by which we can unlock new characters and adventures to play.

"Once upon a time, the world was cruel, and there was a witch who knew it well, and so she sold her heart to build a house in the woods where the world could never find her.

At first she would let no one into her fortress. But in the long march of days, a strange thing happened: in her own cold and spiteful way, the witch made a friend... and then another... and then several more, until her house was teeming with colorful faces and complicated lives.

The house would come to be know as Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast, and it would last for a very long time."
